Finally, King's Church meets here every Sunday at 10am and 6.30pm for contemporary live music, teaching and the chance to meet with hundreds of local Christians from all walks of life. In the evening meetings, Coffee Box's licensed bar is open, and there are sometimes social events such as BBQs and live music nights. Both meetings are open to everyone. 10th March 2015
Whether you're into arts and crafts, or sports and films are your forte, there's plenty for everyone at Hastings Centre this spring.
We hope you enjoyed our charity bootfair on Saturday 14 February. These will continue to run over the next few months, with the next event taking place on Saturday 14 March. And if you enjoy our bootfairs, you'll love our new charity Craft Fairs, starting Saturday 28 March at 10am. These will be run in a similar way but with a specific focus on crafts that can be made, bought and sold. To set up your own table will cost only £10 (or £12 if you require table hire from the building), and entry is free to the public. We're really looking forward to starting these events, which are open to all. For more details, please contact Jackie Moule on 01424 718400, 07938828795 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
And if you're joining us for the Craft Fair on 28 March, why not stay for our family film night? We were thrilled to see over 70 people join us for our recent free screening of Brave, and this time we'll be showing The Incredibles (PG), taking place at Coffee Box from 5pm. Don't forget that we want to see your best superhero costumes on the evening! Entry is free, doors open at 5pm, cinema-style snacks and drinks will be available and our licensed bar will be open. What better way to spend a Saturday night with the family?
Don't forget that Coffee Box is available for private hire, too! Why not host your own film night, party or family celebration with us? We have plenty of parking space, in-house catering, a licensed bar, and friendly staff who are available to serve at your events. Get in touch with us today!
Easter is only a few weeks away, and King's Church will be celebrating with two family-friendly services at the Hastings Centre on Easter Sunday (5 April). Come along at 10am or 6:30pm for an Easter celebration featuring live music, performances, stories, hot cross buns and, in the morning, a free chocolate egg for every child under 11. This is always great community celebration and we'd love to see you there.
For sports fans, we have plenty of events coming up: the next Hastings Kickboxing Academy Fight Night will be on Saturday 21 March; American Pro-Wrestling will take place on Saturday 16 May; and West Hill Boxing Club will have their tournament on Saturday 30 May. Our last Kickboxing Academy Fight Night was a real success, with nearly 600 spectators from across the country watching the entertainment in our spacious and fully-equipped auditorium, enjoying our in-house catering and visiting the licensed bar at Coffee Box. We were also thrilled to host the last American Pro-Wrestling event, and we're looking forward to more high-energy entertainment in the coming months. 21st October 2014
We host a wide variety of events here at the Hastings Centre, which this month has included large kickboxing and wrestling events.
Over 570 people from all over the south, including as far as Plymouth, joined us for the bi-annual Hastings Kickboxing Academy Fight Night on Saturday 11 October. Coffee Box was packed out, the licensed bar was open, and we hosted a night of thrilling entertainment.
Sixteen fights took place over the evening. With a spectacular light show featuring lasers, and a display that almost filled our auditorium to the roof, the atmosphere was electrifying.
Our front-of-house team was on hand to ensure that the whole night ran smoothly. Sound technician Dan Sparks said: "The night was thrilling; I found it really exciting. All you could hear was the crowd shouting and the music was louder than anything we’ve run before."
Stuart Clark, Hastings Centre manager, was also pleased with how the event went, agreeing it was a huge success.
A week later we hosted around 500 people in our main auditorium for an American-style Pro Wrestling event. This also went really well.
