HASTINGS CENTRE NEWS

22nd April 2015

Hustings at the Hastings Centre

In the run-up to the General Election, the Hastings Centre is pleased to be hosting two hustings events giving local people the opportunity to hear about the candidates and their policies.

If you're a member of the local business breakfast, there will be a Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce breakfast taking place tomorrow morning (7.30-9.30am on Thursday 23 April), featuring current Hastings & Rye MP Amber Rudd (Conservative) and local political candidates Nick Perry (Liberal Democrat), Sarah Owen (Labour) and Jake Bowers (Green). If you'd like to attend, the breakfast costs £7 for members or £10 for non-members; please visit the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce website for more information.

Additionally, Church Together in Hastings & St Leonards will be holding its hustings event here at 7pm on Tuesday 28 April for local Christians to quiz the candidates about the issues that matter to them. If you'd like an opportunity to hear about different parties' policies or to have your own questions answered, come along to the evening. Questions can be submitted in advance to thelyttles@uwclub.net or to 07730 065680. Please visit the Church Together website for more information.

We're pleased that the Hastings Centre is able to host these important opportunities to find out more about the way our town and local area is being run.
