COFFEE BOX IS OPEN 9AM – 5PM EVERY WEEKDAY

AND 8.30AM – 11.30AM ON SATURDAYS IN TERM TIME

Coffee Box is located in the Hastings Centre, on The Ridge, opposite the Conquest Hospital.

Coffee Box opened in 2013 to offer the finest quality, barista-style Italian “Illy” coffee and an array of savoury and sweet treats, including locally made cakes. Meet friends for lunch, gaze out on the beautiful views, bask in the sun on the patio while children have fun in the play area, or sit inside and relax.

Our patio boasts breathtaking views of the picturesque Tillingham Valley and the design of our outdoor play area is based on the fishing boats of Hastings… it even includes recycled wood from the pier!

Coffee Box also functions as a licenced bar and is available or hire for parties, celebrations and events.

Our core passion is to give back to the community by being part of a social enterprise.

SUSPENDED COFFEE

We are really excited to be part of the international ‘Suspended Coffee’ movement. This means that whenever you come to Coffee Box you can buy any item from the menu for someone in need by asking for it to be ‘suspended’. Whenever someone who will benefit from your kindness and generosity comes in and asks if there are ‘suspended’ items available, we will pass on the food or drink you have bought.

SOCIAL ENTERPRISE

We aim to run Coffee Box as a social enterprise, meaning that we invest the profits back into the good of the local community, either through employing people who have been unemployed for some time and are looking for an opportunity to be trained and equipped with skills, or by donating to local projects such as Baby Basics Hastings and Hastings Foodbank. The Hastings Centre can host parties for any age. While Coffee Box is a coffee shop by day, it transforms into the ultimate party venue by night! With a fully licensed bar, dance floor and a stage area for a band or DJ to perform, plus a fabulous outside patio and garden.
